The Financial administration of the Slovak Republic draws on numerous internal regulations, tax regulations, customs procedures and other guidelines and methodological procedures, which are regularly updated and supplemented. When performing their work, employees often need to search for detailed information in these internal management acts and act according to valid changes. The process of searching for a large amount of information is often lengthy and the employee must go through it repeatedly due to the frequent updating of internal management acts.

OUR SOLUTION

We deployed a fully automated communication chatbot based on artificial intelligence called IRAbot on the financial administration intranet. The name itself indicates the connection of the chatbot with the integrated control acts that make up the knowledge database of this chatbot.

The chatbot is available for financial administration employees. During the first contact, the chatbot introduces itself to the worker, explains that it works on the basis of artificial intelligence and prompts him to ask his question. The worker can ask a complete question in the written language, but can also write only a phrase, an incomplete sentence or a question with typos. Artificial intelligence rephrases the question so that the chatbot assures the user that he understands what he is asking. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the chatbot’s answers are detailed and thorough, but at the same time the answer is given clearly and at a length corresponding to communication in the form of a conversation. If necessary, the artificial intelligence compiles the answer from several sources that are related to the compound question, finds connections between the information in these sources and takes them into account in the given answer. In the event that there are also older versions of documents in the drafts, artificial intelligence can select the latest data and process it.

RESULTS

The employee receives his answer in a matter of seconds, while the process of searching for such complete information would take the employee an uncomparably longer time.
